On early-dismissal days we open at dismissal. We tell families the week before.

Snack comes first
Children come in from the school day hungry and a little loud, so the first half hour is a table, a snack and a chance to talk.
Snack is set out on the cafeteria tables before dismissal, and water is on every table. Tell us about allergies when you tour; we ask what we need privately once you enroll.

Then the gym, the craft table or the book corner
After homework hour, children choose between the day's activity and quiet play.
Monday is open gym, Tuesday is the craft and build table, Wednesday is cooking and science, Thursday is book club and board games, and Friday the children vote. On dry days part of the hour goes outside.
