Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Drop-off and pickup
A staff member signs each child in at the door. At pickup a child leaves only with an adult on your list, and we ask for ID from anyone we haven't met. If someone else will collect your child, tell us ahead of time, in writing.
Late pickup
We close at 6 p.m. If you are going to be late, call the front desk and tell us who is on the way. A staff member stays with your child until you arrive. Your registration packet explains how repeated late pickups are handled.
When to keep your child home
A child with a fever or a contagious illness stays home until they have been well for a full day. If a child becomes ill here, we call the first person on your list and a staff member stays close until you arrive.
Meals, snacks and allergies
We set out a snack at 3 p.m. and water at every table. A weekly snack list goes home on Fridays. Tell us about allergies when you tour, and we ask for details privately once you enroll.
Closures for weather and holidays
We are closed whenever the school building is closed, and the closed days for the year reach you in writing. In snow or ice we follow the school district's closing and post it by 6 a.m.
Screens and phones
Phones stay in backpacks during the afternoon. Children don't use screens in the program. If you need to reach your child, call the front desk.
What to wear and bring
Children come in what they wore to school. Bring a pair of sneakers for the gym on Mondays and Fridays, and a jacket for outdoor time on dry days. Label coats and water bottles.
Leaving the program
We ask for two weeks' written notice before a child leaves or changes days, so another family can have the place.
